What's the difference between laminate and cushioned vinyl flooring?
The short answer is they are made of different materials. Although laminate flooring is extremely hard-wearing and splashproof, it is not waterproof like cushioned vinyl so you need to be careful about where you put it.
Something else to note is that laminate flooring can look more realistic when going for material like wood. This is because of the three-dimensional embossing on its surfaces. Whereas vinyl is all one sheet.
If you’re interested in something that is easy to clean, vinyl flooring is going to be your best bet. Not only can it be cleaned with a wet mop, it can be scrubbed with safe cleaning products too – perfect for that muddy cloakroom!
